After looking at the photos of this tripod I was a bit skeptical to hang a $1K plus camera on it. Experimentaion at home has proved that it holds on and does not relax with time. A great carry-on item and provides much flexibility in photographing various subjects. I'm looking forward to taking it on a cruise this summer.

I wasn't very pleased with the product the day I purchased it. I had difficulties getting it to hold securely around various things along the street. I think it will work better once I have some more time to play around with it. As for being a basic tripod, it works flawlessly. I have used it with a Nikon D80 and 18-200 VR lense.

Well worth the money. Small and compact makes it easy to take a tipod on a trip for those long exposures. Using on my Nikon D200 with a 18-200vr lense.
