I used to own a Manfrotto 190cxpro4 but realized I didn't need all the bells and whistles or even wanted to carry it around all the time. The 732CY fits inside my backpack. I wanted a lightweight yet stable tripod. Manfrotto's latest 732CY from the M-Y entry level series will give you this at a price of $200. The carbon fiber construction doesn't save much in weight, but it does add to stronger stability. This explains why this tripod can handle 7.71 lbs. I pair it with a Rebel T1i DSLR and 391RC2 ball head. If you are the casual photographer who often travels, this is a good choice. I do not recommend it for studio or nature photography.

Great product. carbon fiber material is light yet it is stronger than steel and aluminum. Great tripod to travel and transport to location.
