Comments about Nikon Nikon Full Size Bogen Tripod with 3-Way Q.R. Pan/Tilt Head - Supports 7.7 lbs.:
While the tripod itself is excellent and I have replaced the head with a ball head having a separate azimuth adjustment, the head which came with the unit could only be described as a three way adjustable head by a carnival barker. The horizon adjustment is simply a sort of flip-flop hinge mechanism with a wing nut locking mechanism and a set screw fine adjuster. This head - in my view - was thoroughly misrepresented in the product description. Moreover, the base is actually too small for this tripod as the locking screws are not entirely covered by the base. Frankly, I think this package is simply an attempt to dump some useless heads by bundling them with an otherwise excellent tripod. I am quite miffed about this and will exercise more caution when purchasing from Aldorama in the future.

Used for long shutter speed shots; night; etc. Bulky but comes w/ carrying bag. I'm happy w/ the product and would recommend to any user.
