Pros:

No, I would not recommend this to a friend
Panhead handles are so fragile and if not carefully handle which can cause handle to break off prematurely. Panhead style is ergonomic and useful but a little stiff when trying to swivel and tilt panhead. The bottom line is this tripod fit for light duty and you don't have to spend a fortune to get it and it performs to your expectation.
