Comments about Smith-Victor Smith Victor Propod PRO-4 Large Tripod with 3-Way Pan & Tilt Head (Supports 22 lbs, Maximum Height 70"):

Very happy with this tripod. Simply amazed at the stability and the smoothness of the movements in it. It takes a minute to get the lock handles in place and figure that out, but well worth it.

Only downside is it only comes with one quick release plate, and I've not had a chance to check if you can even order more for it

Comments about Smith-Victor Smith Victor Propod PRO-4 Large Tripod with 3-Way Pan & Tilt Head (Supports 22 lbs, Maximum Height 70"):

The tripod arrived with a knob broken off and two plastic leg covers broken. I got very quick turn around from Smith-Victor for a new knob. The plastic peices look like new after some Original Super Glue. The pan/lateral movement lock handle was manufactured incorrectly. After I cut half of the threads off it locked the pan and lateral movement just fine. I'm very happy with what I have now.

Very good, but not perfect.

It's very stable for use on my GL1 camera. The only other thing I would have liked is to be able to lockdown the pan movement.
