Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
I'm trying to go pro with photography, and decided to go digital. however, because some pics i take require me to go out in the night, i need the right lens (with an aperture of 1.8) and slow shutter speeds. this tripod is great in allowing my camera to be stable with the really long shutters!
