Pros:
Folds Small, Good Stability, Lightweight, Unfolds Quickly
Cons:
Won't hold much weight
Best Uses:
for a point and shoot, Photography, Stabilization

Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
Works well with an slr if you have a small lens. Perfect for a point and shoot camera. Really easy to use, and pretty compact. It is a little chuncky, but definately smaller than my regular tripod.
