Comments about Bogen Imaging Bogen - Manfrotto 190CXPRO4 4 Section Carbon Fiber Pro Tripod Legs (Height 3.15" - 57.5", Maximum Load 11 lbs):
This tripod is awesome. Carbon fiber makes the tripod very light and stable during outdoor usage. At first, I considered 190CX3 then center column cannot move in horizontally, so I considered 190CXPRO3, but with about $10 more I can get shorter (3") one by going with 190CXPRO4. Obviously this will be traveling tripod, so light weight and shorter length have to be big parts of purchasing reason. It can go very low with center column switched to horizontal position and legs spread out. And it can go up more than I need (I'm 5' 10") for shooting.
Only concern I have is the carbon fiber center column rubbing against plastic clamps when folded. This concerns me when I ship the tripod in my checked in luggage so I wrap legs individually with t-shirts or clothes.
But overall, this tripod is all I can ask for, so I won't spend more money on tripods anymore.

I use the product around town and in travel. It is extremely light and pretty stable too. I have not used it in the extreme elements of 20 below and wind chill 40 below as yet. I am not sure if it can handle that, but will try when the weather turns cold here in Minnesota.

Comments about Bogen Imaging Bogen - Manfrotto 190CXPRO4 4 Section Carbon Fiber Pro Tripod Legs (Height 3.15" - 57.5", Maximum Load 11 lbs):
Fantastic quality, fast setup, and amazingly stable considering the weight. I shopped around and settled on a few select brands, one of the things which sold me on Manfrotto over the direct ship imports was their long history of quality.
I use the tripod mostly for macro and landscape (HDR) so I wanted flexibility and stability.
The only complaint I have is the price. But you get what you pay for, and since this is probably the last tripod I'll buy I decided to spend the extra money for a quality piece of equipment, the $50 rebate helped seal the deal.

I'm really happy with the weight of this product; help out a lot especially if your camera and lens already weighs 2 kg.
Comments about Bogen Imaging Bogen - Manfrotto 190CXPRO4 4 Section Carbon Fiber Pro Tripod Legs (Height 3.15" - 57.5", Maximum Load 11 lbs):
I was contemplating the pro3,but the pro4 seems to fit my needs better, being that its smaller when packed up,and will fit inside most luggage easily (you may need to remove the head for a carry on ).I do mostly travel photography,landscales/nature etc.I needed lightweight, well constructed legs ,which for the money, the manfrotto does the job well.Im 5'10",and with the ballhead, the 190 series is plenty tall enough for me.If your over 6ft,maybe the 055 series might suit you better.Being able to set up quickly is also another advantage,I like the flip lock legs better than twist lock, and they seem very sturdy so far,no slippage issues. All in all,an all round great set of legs .

Comments about Bogen Imaging Bogen - Manfrotto 190CXPRO4 4 Section Carbon Fiber Pro Tripod Legs (Height 3.15" - 57.5", Maximum Load 11 lbs):
This tripod is a great option when you need a tripod that is lightweight and folds up small enough to fit inside a bag / backpack or is not very cumbersome attached to the outside of your bag.
The ability to rotate the center column 90 degrees for macro, close to the ground, or product shooting is also very handy.
My major gripe is that the center column, once moved to the horizontal potion, is a bit hard to reset to normal operation, and the legs are a bit hard to extend / retract, as you might expect with the 4-part leg composition.
Overall, however, certainly worth the price. I am pleased with this purchase.

I love the tripod and it works well. The legs extend slowly but they are firm in their hold of the ground, feels solid. Very Light.

I chose 4 sections legs instead of 3 sections one because I wanted the most compact one. I was a little worry about stabilization but it came out it is very stable.

This is my second carbon tripod, and my first manfroto. I bougth it because the vertical/horizontal function. The craft is impecable, and the convertion from vertical to horizontal column is quick and easy. It would be even better if the column could be fixed in other angle than 0 - 90.
The tag is high, but the quality have a price..

Great size and weight for travel and backpacking. Need to add hanging weight for stabilization in the wind. Much more comfortable to use in cold temperatures than aluminum tripod. I do not leave it home.

Comments about Bogen Imaging Bogen - Manfrotto 190CXPRO4 4 Section Carbon Fiber Pro Tripod Legs (Height 3.15" - 57.5", Maximum Load 11 lbs):
This is a compact light weight tripod that is adjusts very easily. I wanted a tripod that I could hike with that was fairly compact and light. This tripod seems to fit the bill. I mated it with the 488RC2 which adds a bit of weight (adds 50%) but the combo is quite nice and fits all of my needs (total weight a little under 4.5# and folds to 24").
The tripod combo is large enough to get the camera at eye level for me (I'm 5' 8"). The center column can be rapidly adjusted to the horizontal position for vertical or very low height settings (those of you with larger fingers may may have difficulty pushing the button for it to adjust but I have no problems; try it out if you have large fingers).
It is not a stable as my 055MF4 but it also weighs 33% less chich is quite a substantial amount.
Anyway, this is a very nice light weight stable platform when you don't want/aren't able to carry around your heavier tripods.

Comments about Bogen Imaging Bogen - Manfrotto 190CXPRO4 4 Section Carbon Fiber Pro Tripod Legs (Height 3.15" - 57.5", Maximum Load 11 lbs):
This is a great lightweight tripod. I bought it to supplement the use of my Current Bogen 3021BPRO tripod. Because I carry my tripod everywhere, I was looking for something lighter for those longer days in the field. The 190CXPRO4 is ideal. It is light and very compact. Even though it is not as stable as the heavier 3021BPRO, it is perfect for a long hike. I use it in combination with the Acratech Ultimate ballhead. And, the Q90 Quick Center Column System works great and is so much faster and more convenient than the older technology. This is a great tripod.

Comments about Bogen Imaging Bogen - Manfrotto 190CXPRO4 4 Section Carbon Fiber Pro Tripod Legs (Height 3.15" - 57.5", Maximum Load 11 lbs):
I bought this primarily for travel and hiking because it is lightweight, folds small and is affordable. I also use it for family portraits at home, and product and analytical photography at work. I really like the way the center column changes to the horizontal position. It is lightweight and folds small enough to bring along, yet sturdy enough to stabilize a Nikon D300 with a 70-200 lens. All at a great price!

After a month of use, I am very happy. I did a TON of research before I bought this tripod and didn't see anything that came close to this quality for this price. I give it 5 stars and I'm kind of a picky b*strd :)

This is actually the 190CXPRO4. It is light, easy to set up, easy to adjust and reasonably sturdy. I use it with a Giottos MH-1001 Pro Medium Ball Head with QR; it makes a good combination. I've been using it to take Sunset and night pictures out in the desert.
