Took this tripod fitted with a small Gitzo mag ball head on a six day backpack trip in the Olympic Nat Park and it was the best piece of equipment I had. Despite it's light weight this is an extermely stable tripod even on unstable waterfall rocks. Shooting with a Nikon F100 with 24mm and 50 mm lense- telephoto lenses probably would be too much.
