This is my second Gitzo Mountaineer. I updated for the anti rotation legs and they're great. My former 1228 held it's value so if I decide I need to upgrade in the future, I'm confident that the same will be true for this.

The product is beautiful in appearance, fast and easy to set up, and works perfectly with the RRS Ball Head.

It is a perfect compromise between stability and portability. At its minimum size, without the ballhead, it is extremely portable. I wouldn't want anything larger for a travel tripod.
