Comments about Gitzo Gitzo GT3531 Mountaineer Series 3 6X 3 Section Carbon Fiber Tripod with G-Lock, Maximum Height 50", Supports 39 lbs.:

An excellent tripod! The carbon fiber construction really dampens vibration. I sometimes work in high vibration environments and was completely surprised by how well the vibration was dampened by the carbon fiber legs compared to aluminum tripods. I worked my way up from cheap tripods to this one, mainly because I was cheap. This is a mistake if you use tripods a lot. I wish I had this tripod years ago. This tripod will make your life easier and give you better images. It's light weight and very well constructed. A pleasure to use. It's the most adaptable and easily reconfigured tripod I have used. This is the first carbon fiber tripod I have owned and I like it. The others have been aluminium and wood. I like this carbon fiber tripod the best of the lot. Those with experience told me to get a Gitzo tripod but I just kept putting it off and using the cheap rattle trap tripods I owned. I wish I had listened to them and purchased this tripod when they told me about it. I have 2 of these tripods now and have no regrets about purchasing them. They are worth the price. I work inside and outside with this tripod in a wide range of conditions and have only good things to say about it. Gitzo builds excellent tripods!
