For a product made in China this tripod will save you plenty over the big guys. If you want a Carbon and are in the Hobbyist/Enthusiast category, you won't regret getting this. Pair it with the induro DM23 ball head or the Manfrotto 808RC4 3-way pan and it's a great kit. Neat thing is it has set screws to further secure the head and base, wish the Manfrotto had the holes for the set screws.

I use this tripod with an Acratech V2 head. It is a very sturdy system. It is light and easy to pack into the areas I shoot wildlife and landscape.
