No, I would not recommend this to a friend
I am a lomo fan, was pleased with the ease of use and the results, but it broke after 3 rolls of film, when I was on my way of shooting the 4th, I found water all over in the camera, including in the battery slots, the viewfinder and in the film as well. But I bought it for less than [$], and it served me good for up to 3 rolls of film, so I really wasn't too disappointed.
