Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
I have almost 200 dives with the Ikelite C-8080 housing and I've NEVER had a leak. It is heavy but fortunately underwater its almost neutrally buoyant. It is a handful with strobes attached but I have taken some awesome shots with it while diving in the Solomons.

Bad position of TTL cable

Its a well constructed housing that can be serviced not thrown away when it leaks
