Strobe is great for TTL ability but arm is more difficult to remove from the handle on the tray. The normal use of this strobe is to mount it on the left handle of the tray. Ikelite provides a "Quick Release" button to remove the strobe arm for extreme positioning on a difficult shot. To do this the operator must push the button, with his right thumb, then reach over with his left hand to pull the arm out of the handle, even if he has a dual handle tray. By this time your subject is gone. My solution was to replace the Ikelite strobe with my Nikonos arm, which is more rigid but you can easily remove the strobe head with your left hand, for extension, while holding the camera rig with your left. Needless to say, I now have a ikelite strobe arm that is useless. Want to buy it back?
