Great lens. I bought it to replace the later FDn 50/1.2 that I had, and I actually like this one a little better. I'd say the out of focus areas are slightly softer with this lens.
The only drawback I'd mention is that flare can soften things quite a bit at f/1.2 which is kind of old-school soft anyway, but a hood helps out a lot. That being said, it is an f/1.2 lens, and flare is fairly well controlled considering. Oh, and it's kind of heavy, much more so than the FDn 50/1.2...big deal.
