A great all around lens - takes great outdoor portrait shots, stunning flowers (mine has macro), still lifes, and birds - I have even captured hummingbirds hovering and feeding in low light and been very pleased with results. Color is very good. I use UV and a HOYA circular polarizer. It is my all-around lens - replaces a 35-100 minolta and a 70-210 tokina. You won't be disappointed!
