Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
I've used this camera in school for 3 years and still do. It's fantastic. It's old technology so there's no LCD, however, with knowledge about the different functions such as aperture and shutter speed you can take beautiful shots. I don't quite like the automatic way it takes pictuers, but I like having full control over my shots. Overall, it's amazing.
