Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
For 2 years I was using the Nikond D70 because of the fact that it synched at a 500th with the sun. I had held off from buying a the D2X until the D2xs came out. I have never been happier spending over [$]on something than I was with this. My pictures have improved 1000%. I love how you can take pictures as fast as you can click, literally! Up to 60 images in as fast as your index finger can go nuts! The only thing I would say is that it doesnt have an onbaord flash, but coupled with my SB800 I forget that it doesnt have one.
