Comments about Audio-Technica Audio-Technica 170MHzv Wireless Lavalier System with ATR35mW Clip-on Omnidirectional Condenser Microphone:
I have had the opportunity to use both the Sennheiser EW-100 and this Audio-Technica system and for pure audio quality and build quality there is no contest - the Sennheiser is a superior product but also carries a matching price tag.The Audio-Technica is a little noisy, and has no gain settings, so can sometimes come out with a bit low levels. The antenna on the receiver can be a bit of a [*] as it's pretty hefty. There are no threaded mini jacks so please handle with care. However, the Audio-Technica has decent range (tried it at least 40ft through walls before the reception got a bit finicky), light weight and dead easy to use - and it's less than 20% of the price of the Sennheiser!Bottom line: Can't complain for the money!

I have had this mic for two years and use it on my Cannon GL2. The quality feels very professional. I have had no problems at all. I have used it to record video for my kids school art docent program. It is far better than the on board mic. The subject is isolated with little background noise.
There was actually a lawn mower going in the background that we thought would ruin a shoot, but were pleasantly surprised how little it could be heard.
The only thing I could complain about is loosing the foam wind cover which is very small and pops off easily.
