Very happy with performance. Main problem is battery life. We use these for production of safety training videos and they work perfectly.

Comments about Sony Sony EC-MAW3 Wireless Microphone for MIC IN Jack Camcorder/Voice Recorder:

I used this at a recent event. I made the mistake of not using Eneloops or some other quality rechargeable, and the MIC quit mid-event, about 45 minutes (recording time) in.Sony sells a 2-AAA version that only works with their own cams; as I have a different brand, this was my only option. I only wish Sony made a 2-AAA option for other cams (like mine), too.It is actually a pleasure to use, as it clips to the handstrap and plugs into the Mic jack. As it is a mono mic and my cam's jack is stereo, you will want the necessary adapter to go with it. If Adorama doesn't sell it then a [...] should have it.The audio is much better than using the built-in mic, though if you're relatively close to the subject then the cam's built-in 5.1 mic is more than adequate.Bluetooth is a great choice of wireless technology, unlike the old VHF or (old and expensive) UHF; BT worked for me, with no static nor dropouts.
