wasn't bad enough that the chinese stand alone charger for this battery has a design flaw such that it doesn't make contact with BOTH battery terminals, so both of them I received were built wrong.

Now I have also received 2 batteries in a row that won't take a charge. ONLY the one that came with the camcorder would recharge in the camcorder. The 2 replacements would NOT. I was asked to deal with the supplier who sent me a different model charger which DOES work, BUT ONLY on the battery I got with the camcorder. The Other replacements would NOT TAKE A CHARGE. Not sure if I should keep the camcorder or not. I cannot get a replacement battery for it yet. Surprisingly enough, Consumer Reports claims this samsung camcorder is the best across the line cam. The cam performs pretty well. It is the support products that suck.

Bought this battery from Adorama with understanding it would work in my Samsung F34 camcorder. It chargers well with a dedicated bp852t charger. It will, however, not charge or run the camcorder when inserted in the camcorder's battery receptacle. Obviously, Samsung his inserted circuitry in their equipment that prohibits use of aftermarket batteries in newer models. [...] I am purchasing a genuine Samsung bp85st to insure I'll have a battery that will work in my camcorder. Suggest shoppers be wary of any aftermarket Samsung style bp85st battery replacement.
