used (.5 X) on canon HF-10 camcorder worked great glad i made the purchase. never tried the zoom lense but sure it work work just as good.
Easy to use
I first used my tele lens to video the Blue Angels at San Francisco. I posted it to YouTube, and someone commented that I must have a really good camera to get the shot so close. I used my tele and wide lenses yesterday when the Queen Mary 2 came under the Golden Gate Bridge Feb 4, 2007. At a distance of about 2 miles away using the optical feature of my camcorder- zoom only, I'm looking at the bow of the ship. I'm thinking I need another lens to go with this, cause on full zoom, the atmosphere fogs or hazes the image. I'm thinking of getting one of the filter lenses to sharpen this kind of shot. I was also looking at the 3x lens [...]. The adapter rings allow me to fit it to the 2 camcorders I own. The package with 2 lenses and 4 adapter rings, lens covers, and lens bags, this is really a great addition to what I have. I noticed that I really need a lens hood. Light sometimes has the ability to reflect from the inside of the adapter lens and then like a mirror it is picked up as a ghost image on the tape. I like the rubber ring on the lens it helps to thread it to the camcorder, that is a big plus. I totally use my lenses, and I leave it on the camcorder all the time. This is all I have used, so I don't know what better there is. Someone will have to add to what I say in another review.
