I like the hard drive capacity, even setting it for maximum resolution. Problems? Maybe it's just the way my hand is built, but the "record" button is difficult to reach when shooting. The battery capacity is fine for short usage, but I have since ordered the optional triple-capacity battery from Adorama and intend to use the kit battery as a backup.
The docking system is really first rate and easy to use. When I come home, I just drop the camcorder into the dock and it charges the battery with no hassle. If I want to check what I have recorded, I simply plug in the a/v cord and view on tv.
The included remote is so easy to operate, even a caveman... uh, never mind.
The only thing I would do differently next purchase, if I decide to upgrade, is to go for the high definition model instead since on my 65 inch tv, the resolution of the camcorder does not do it justice. As an old-time SLR still camera user, I miss having a viewfinder. Until I get used to this camcorder, I will probably continue to put it up to my eye before realizing I have to hold it out using my reading glasses to use the little lcd thingy, or whatever it is. Fine-focusing manually with that thing is not possible. But the price is right for what I need it for right now.
