Overall, it's okay. Probably will not get a lot of use. Still, I will keep in in my bag. Nothing beats a hotshoe/slave flash though. Not sure it is worth the money paid for it.
I have tested light with my camera rig but have not yet needed it at a gig. Wish I'd had it at a couple of weddings, a 50th anniv party, and a sweet 16 party, all indoor with low level ambient lighting, where my Sony DSC-R1 refused to focus or did so slowly or unreliably. This little light worked well in my tests, and now has a home in my bag.
Problems... 1) Needed to mount to cold shoe not tripod socket so I had to rig an adapter. 2) I don't want this light to show in photos when shooting by ambient light or low level strobe, so I will have to power off right before taking each shot.
This LED lights will help lighten up the bottom portion of your picture if you take close-up shot often. It make auto focus faster (on my Canon DSLR 30D) in place that is not well lit up. The knob is kinda hard to turn once you get it on there. I found a way to get it on and off quick...just twist the whole unit.

The CameraBright is wonderful when shooting in low light conditions, especially at indoor wedding receptions where there is sometimes very little available light.
