Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
I have used the VL-3 on all three of my GL-2 cameras for 2-3 years. I never take them off. It is just enough fill light for dim lit areas.The only thing that gave me a problem on two of them, after 2 years of service, my audio on my GL-2 would cut in and out. After sending my cameras in for service with no fix, I stumbled across the problem was the switch on the VL-3 somehow when turned on, would interfere with the audio. [...]
