Comments about Sony Sony HDR-SR11E PAL System 60 GB Hybrid HDD/Memory Stick High Definition Camcorder, Carl Zeiss Vario-Sonnar T Lens, 12x Optical Zoom:

I´m an underwater videographer and bought this camera when I flooded my older mini DV.I turned catastrophe into a chance to take the leap to HD shooting.Even inside an underwater housing the camera is very compact,provides excellent image quality and sound and colours.Could perform a bit better in low light conditions,and the supplied NP-FH 50 battery only lasts about 60´(I bought a non original NP-FH 70 and will last about 190´)but I am overall very very pleased with it.The customisable front knob/button is very useful to manually control either exposure or focus.I use it every day and my customers are amazed at the quality,it turns every dive into a beautiful one even when the visibility is not at its best.I would definitely recommend this camera, the 60GB drive is more than enough,but memory can be expanded via Memory stick (I normally use the stick to store photos).
The only really annoying thing is that you can edit the AVCHD (.mts files) only in sony vegas or Adobe premiere CS4 at the moment.
Now go out and buy one !!!!
