Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
Solid and good finish. Together with hood Kenko RHC-85 it looks very good on the camcorder. The hood also have a removable front shield, effective as protection if you don't have the 82 mm filter mounted. If you get a filter, it must be a slim version otherwhise vignetting occurs.
I have not yet seen the video performance but it looks great on the display so far.
