We bought this camera thinking it would be, well, disposable. It has been mounted on a jib arm, hidden inside a safe and used on a network TV set. It has also been dropped 40' fastened to a safe, blown up (same safe) and bounced around on high-powered rifles. It's never missed a beat, flubbed a shot or otherwise failed to get a shot. The laser markets and movable lens are great for getting shots level (or at a Dutch angle if you like) lined exactly as you'd like it. We have orders in for two more, and we'll be using them to shoot high-action shooting competitions. One note: it's NOT made to record video, but the mic is suitable for recording audio sufficient for synching with main audio and other cameras.

For the price, this product is hard to beat. It takes great HD (720p) video with good clarity and color. Operating the device couldn't be simpler, mount it (nearly anywhere you can think of), turn it on, and when you are ready to record the action slide the record button and go. The video is recorded on a microSD card (2gb included) in Quicktime format. Users report battery life of approximately 2-2.5 hours. The only negatives I've noticed is some video "quirks" in extremely bright scenes, and of course being a POV camera there is some "jiggling", but you could argue that adds to the "realism" of the captured footage. For an example of the capabilities of the product, look at this video: http://www.vholdr.com/video/playing-sky

I originally purchased the original vHoldR camera to possibly help diagnose problems with my kart driving. I thought that was a great camera ... the ContourHD is incredible! I still do not know which mode I like shooting in better (SD or HD), however the video quality and sound is levels above the vHoldR (which is still a great camera). You can see my vids and a comparison between vHoldR and ContourHD on the ContourHD site under "Umigo".
