i was looking for a good cam i could use for years, being that i dont make a ton of money, the panasonic name is a great brand! after a litte research i found this to be an excellent deal for the money i had, i paid just [$] i received cam, 2 batteries, charger, manual, and head cleaner.so far everything ive done with it, im very pleased with the results!! i recorded a friends concert at a very loud and dark venue, all i had to do was adjust the recording level, and walah!!! nice picture and great sound!!! i also use it to record band practice and it picks up every instrument very nicely!!(the whole spectrum) is it the best? of course not, but if you have a similar budget, go for it!!!

This camera is very good for the price. I've used it to make nice images, and it gives me a chance to use in a high-action way. My short films on You Tube, but on DVD film, it looks almost like high definition. I set up more different lense and mic .I think this camera can making step for me the semi professional level but only i need to learn more.I have only 11 monts recording experience in my life and tree monts good camera.

I recently bought this camera and am very pleased with it.There are a few things you'll read online about it that maymake you not consider it, but I'll address them. And I'm notadvertising for [...] Panasonic I just like my camera!First thing that people say is that it is light and notrigid. That's weird because this is a very rugged camera. It's built for news studios, and they are sometimes prettyrough on their cameras.Second people complain about a lack of an XLR input.Although this is potentially important to some people (I'veworked in audio fairly extensively and am finicky about howit sounds), you can buy a cable adapter [...]. I really don't see it as a con.The color is very good coming out of the camera. It's 3CCDso that helps a lot. The resolution also isn't bad at 525lines (vertical). I did some preliminary tests and with a UVfilter/circular polarizer, the shots were pretty impressive. This thing weighs about 5 pounds. It's not heavy, but at thesame time it isn't the camera for you if you're wanting tofilm family stuff. It's just too big. But for ENG,documentaries, maybe even short films...I'd highly recommend it!
