Comments about Cool-Lux Cool-lux Light & Sound Bracket, Camcorder Dual Mount Bracket for Video Lights & Microphones:
Solidly built and useful for getting the mic away from camera noise and/or to reduce shadowing of a light by any lenses. I had no issues with the lack of a stopper on the plate (you can slide out forward or backward, which means you the bracket is reversible. I use it with a mic only and use the other branch as an extra handle.

Lightweight but sturdy construction, I use it on my Canon HV30 HDV Camcorder to keep the shotgun mike out of the picture, using the top shoe.

Comments about Cool-Lux Cool-lux Light & Sound Bracket, Camcorder Dual Mount Bracket for Video Lights & Microphones:
I needed to support a 7" monitor, a stereo videomic and
a video light all on top of a Canon XL2 Camera which only had 1 shoe.
By combining this unit with the NRG tri-mount, I was able to solve this problem.
