How important is an extra 3 minutes? Very important if the seminar you are recording is 82 minutes long! Or the lecture, or the first act of the recital, etc.. You don't always need it, but it is good to know it is there.

I don't see problems with conventional Mini-DV tapes on my Canon HV20 HD camcorder, but I love the extra 23 minutes of recording time these give me.
Don't leave home with out them

I tried using a lower grade tape even a low end brand, but I always got drop outs or audio glitches. But when I put a tape in my camera it will only be the best like the Panasonic Pro grade tapes. I never have any problems with them, no drop outs no glitches no dropped audio. [...]
