What I love most about it is the speed lock mechanism. You can easily raise or lower completely with just 3 flip locks. It drops down lower than the average tripod of its size/class and just the right height too. Expect this tripod to last many years of use in the field because it definitely will last. The fluid head is better than any Manfrotto head I've used because it doesn't have that slight jump when you start/stop the pan movement a little bit. Its consistent all the way through. Love pretty much everything about it, and the carrying bag that comes with it!
