Disappointed

By

from Seattle, WA  -  Tech Savvy

Sennheiser makes some very good products, I was really surprised by how unremarkable the microphone performs. I was not sure if it is my luck or a defective product as recording on various sound recorders gave a distinctive hum. using the gain introduces a lot more ambient noise than expected for a microphone in this price range. I was really disappointed in its performance and wouldn't recommend it.

Super compact and functional.

By

from Chattanooga, TN  -  Tech Savvy

I like this mike because I read it was a quality unit which so far seems to be true. Plus, it is perfect size for use on compact consumer/prosumer camcorders. I would have given it 5 stars, but there could be something better, and I am just a beginner at this time. A very nice piece of equipment.

Improve your Video Sound!

A giant leap above the built in Microphones in a Canon 7D! It is not perfect and one needs experience in using it as it can be extremely directional.

Questions about this item:

Shopper  does it have a mini-advanced shoe?
JOHN S  This is a great mic. It fits any camera hot shoe but must be plugged in to the audio input port of any still or video camera. The shoe mount on the mic is not live. The wind screen is only good in a light breeze. if you buy it get the "dead cat" that is an option for this mic. Another thing I like about this mic is it's small size it easily goes in my camera bag. it's a great mic for the money
Shopper  Hi, Is this a stereo microphone, and do you know the range of coverage like 90 or 120 degrees or shotgun? Thank you very much, Ken
JOSEPH L  I'm not a tekkie kind of guy. Although it's an excellent mic that I chose after reading numerous reviews, I don't know the specs the shopper is asking about. I decided on it, bought it, use it, and it serves me well. I'd advise the shopper to check reputable review sites, or to Google the company for specs.
