I use this lense 90% for video on my canon T2I & 60D. The quality of footage is astounding. The clarity, sharpness , is unmatched. I give high marks to adorama, not only for quality products, but, for price points on most products below competitors for exact same product.[...]

Compared Nikon lens and Sigma. After evaluation came up to a conclusion that Sigma is better on my D3. Took great photos of night Manhattan.

They finally released it for the 1.6 crop digitals and it was worth the wait. Its a little on the expensive side but it has been a blast to use. Focus is very quick and very sharp for a fisheye. Too bad its only 167degrees for the canon but oh well. My only complaint is the lens cover/cap is difficult to get on and off and you feel like you have to pull the whole front of the lens off to get it to come lose, also a pain that you cant use a filter to keep the glass from getting dirty so easy but other than that its been a blast so far.

Sigma's 10mm F2.8 Ex DC Fisheye HSM lens is a diagonal fisheye, which means the distorted scene is shown full frame within the camera's field of view. The diagonal field of view produces striking images with exaggerated perspective of near subject & extreme barrel distortion of the surrounding areas. It allows photographers to shoot creative images by taking advantage of the acute perspectives that are invisible to the human eye.
Large aperture high speed diagonal fisheye lens
Close focusing distance & extreme angle of view
The diagonal fisheye is the most popular kind of fisheye and are often used by wedding photographers who want to give an "artistic" look to images, by underwater photographers who want to take in the maximum field of view possible and by scenic photographers. The minimum focusing distance of 5.3 inches and magnification ratio of 1 to 3.3 allows the photographer to have fun with placement of subjects extremely near to the camera with distorted backgrounds. In the hands of an artist this lens can produce memorable, eye-catching images.
