I was looking for a bargin lens for my new 60D and tried 3 other lenses before purchasing this one. I love this lens, pictures are Sharp and color is amazing. I do a lot of senior/family photos and I can take on 18mm and zoom to 100% and have my picture crisp. That says a lot to me about what a great lens this is. If you are wanting a great lens for half the price this is the one for you.

This lens beats the stock lens hands down. it's built well, feels good in the hands, and is perfectly balanced. The reason I bought this lens was because I needed a fast lens to take wedding photos at close and far distances and this lens fit the bill. It is a great lens for low light situations.

i used this as a standard zoom replacement and was intrigued by the 2.8 aperture on it. however, i found it was so inconsistent when zooming on people right in front of my face. it was a win or lose. i'm used to canon's 50mm 1.8 and had no problems there w/portraits. also, with regular action, like people walking around, it would b blurry focus.doesn't do well in low light. i dunno what i was thiking. its going back. i'll stick to my nifty 50 for now.

I Just received this lens and like it. I Got a 28-135 USM lens and was in need for a wide angle. This is perfect. Great. Yet to put it through its paces. Hopefully the images to would be awesome. Need to wait though till the rains stop. Mahlon from Sri Lanka.
