I am glad I got a VERY sharp copy with no focus issues on my first Sigma lens purchase! As soon as I took it out of the box, I immediately notice the strong, heavy, durable finish that screams "quality." This feels worlds apart from my 50mm 1.8, and just as solid as my Tokina 12-24mm. By far the Sigma 30mm has produced the best image quality out of all the lenses I've owned. I'm not sure if Sigma has upped their quality control or I just got lucky with a sharp lens, but I keep it on my camera most of the time now as my walk-around. 100% crops of my friend's dog just amaze me: I can see the individual strands of hair and so much detail around the face! And its also the little things that count: with the lens includes a hood, both caps, AND a pouch!!! Also Adorama sometimes have really good "kits" with their lenses: I got a Tiffen UV filter and a lens cleaning kit for practically FREE with one of their promotions. For those who are shopping around, look for the same listings but with these kits. They are usually included in the lens price (=free) or for a small amount.
