I recently posted DOA review. I must stand corrected. Once I was able to download the optimization software properly, it worked as advertised. I was able to check for firmware update on Sigma 24-105 (Nikon) and firmware update for the dock itself. Have not yet tried focus adjustment. Apologies to Sigma for being too quick to judge.
I have tried the dock on three different computers all with the same results. The drivers download and that is where it ends..........after that - nada, nothing. Software will not initiate nor does the power indicator illuminate. Since it is beyond the Adorama return period, it is going back to Sigma.
i cant use the product because it does not work. there is nothing great about it. for some reason i got this rate your purchase email two times. i did it once, now i am doing it again. i would not recommned this product unless you really really need a $60 paperweight AND, its not that heavy, so its not a very good paperweight either.
Works as advertised . I used it with the Sigma 35mm 1.4 lens and the lens checked out ok.. The only complaint I have is that if you set the lens to the factory default you have to make sure you use the option to rewrite the data and not just check the default setting. Also, every time you attach a lens to the unit the software does a check to see if there any newer updates available. If you take 20 test photos the software will check all 20 times. I liked the idea that for prime lenses there are 4 ranges that you can adjust for. For my 35mm lens there were adjustment options for up to 1 foot, up to 2 feet, up to 6 feet and for infinity. I wish Nikon had a similar product.
