Excellent Optics, Not the Best for Wind

By

from Corpus Christi  -  Professional Guide

Excellent magnification, sharp, and clear. The 20-60x eyepiece seems nice enough to me, though I sometimes have trouble with the lock snapping closed, as well as keeping the eye relief bezel screwed down tight. Sometimes when changing eye relief between different viewers, the eye relief want to twist off. Also, in wind above 30 mph, I get vibration in the scope, especially (as ecxpected) under high magnification. Having a bomb proof tripod and head, I have narrowed the weak point down to the scope's mount. Seems weak to me, and should have been designed to be made of solid aluminum, rather than having a plastic coating.
