The SeaLife DC1400 Pro X2 is a camera and light kit enabling you to capture beautiful still images and HD video-underwater. Consisting of a DC1400 Digital Underwater Camera, two SL961 Digital Pro Flashes and an SL944 Pro Duo Case, this is a great package to get you started in the world of underwater photography.

The SeaLife DC1400 Underwater Digital Camera is a true amphibian of a camera, working both on-land and beneath the surface. The camera comes inside a rubber over-molded polycarbonate waterproof housing, from which it can be removed for use on-land. Rubber armored and shock-resistant for rough handling and tough environments, the DC1400 boasts a depth rating of 200 feet (60 m). O-ring lubrication is not required. The camera features a 14 megapixel CCD sensor equipped with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS), a technology that reduces camera shake caused by hand movement. Select from 6 underwater color modes that give you sharp, colorful photos and HD video under any conditions. There are even 4 built-in digital color correction filters, which help restore colors that tend to get lost beneath the surface.

The 26-mm wide-angle lens lets you get closer to your subject and still fit everything in-frame. Enjoy Super Macro Auto focus from 1.0" (2.5 cm) to infinity. You get a grand total of 25x zoom, with 5x optical and 5x digital. The large 3.0" (7.6 cm) LCD screen allows for easy on-camera viewing.

You'll find the controls convenient and easy to use: 5 widespread "piano key" style controls are easily accessible underwater with or without gloves. A large shutter button is also present, as is a fingertip-control lever enabling you to scroll through menus or zoom in and out without releasing your grip from the camera. The simple on screen guide takes the guess work out of setting up your camera. Let the DC1400 do the heavy lifting for you, so all you have to focus on is getting that great shot. Record continuous high definition videos with sound. Take advantage of manual shutter and aperture control in Ext Flash mode. Manual White Balance control is available via a short-cut key for fast and easy setting. In Spy mode, the camera automatically shoots continuous pictures at set time intervals. Choose from 27 Land Scene modes, which easily pre-set the camera with the optimal settings for the given scene.

The camera runs on a rechargeable lithium battery. A great optional accessory to add is a Photo/Video Light (SL980) (sold separately). The SL961 Digital Pro Flash, of which two are included in this package, is a universal flash for all SeaLife digital cameras and cameras with up to 4 pre-flashes from other manufacturers. This strobe helps to restore colors that get lost underwater due to the blue filtering effect of the sea - particularly red and yellow hues. With the SL961, the intense colors of coral and fish ""explode"" with beauty and richness.

The flash's Auto Mode setting adjusts flash brightness for optimal image exposure. Full manual mode is also available. Variable power adjustment lets you manually fine-tune brightness for image exposure and desired effect. There are also 5 pre-flash cancellation settings. Boasting a depth rating of 200 feet (60 m), the Digital Pro Flash will give you about 100 flashes with 4 AA batteries (not included). The effective range is 2 - 8 feet (0.6 to 2.4 m). A flexible, rubberized arm allows for easy aiming and sure grip. A flash link optical cable connection (SL962) is included, as is a standard mounting knob. An extended mounting knob for attaching 2 lighting accessories is optional (sold separately.) Consider adding an optional SL9618 Flash Diffuser or two, which will disperse light evenly to soften the flash, ensuring colorful results. The SL944 is a soft case that offers a simple and convenient transport option for your camera and two flashes. Alternatively, you could carry two video lights, or one flash and one video light. There's also extra space for accessories. The black case features a zipper closure, removable zippered compartment, a top carry handle and a shoulder strap.
