I use this product on both a mono and a tripod. It's relatively small, easy to transport and operate. The ball clamp is very sensitive which makes it easy to adjust on the fly. I've also used this head in below zero temperatures for extended shoots with no issue. I'm thinking about buying another so I don't have to share between stands.

Very good ball head but could use a second clamp to control panoramic swing instead of one for all movements.
