The Sonnet Fusion DX800RAID Expansion (24 TB) consists of eight 3 TB enterprise/RAID drive modules and is used to increase the storage capacity of Fusion DX800RAID storage systems. It offers speeds up to 870 MB/sec for read operation and 880 MB/sec for write operation. With an internal SAS (Serial Attached SCSI) expander, you can daisy-chain up to 16 DX800RAID enclosures to a single Sonnet RAID controller card. This eliminates the need of a separate RAID controller card and simplifies installation.
Supporting RAID levels 4, 5 and 6, it offers data protection incase of a drive failure. It monitors the drive performance and automatically maps out bad sectors to prevent drive failures. In addition, it provides data recovery tools in case of failure to create a RAID group. The SES (SCSI Enclosure Services) and S.M.A.R.T. data reporting offer realtime monitoring of the enclosure and drives. It overcomes the limitation in windows operating system by allowing partition more than 2TB. The noiseless fan keep the temperature of the system within safe limits.
