Sonnet Fusion DX800RAID 8TB Expansion Storage System, Up to 870 MB/s Read, 880 MB/sec Write Data Transfer Speed

The Sonnet Fusion DX800RAID Expansion (8TB) features eight 1TB drives and provides a read operation with speeds up to 1000 MB/sec and write operation with speeds up to 750 MB/sec. It supports capturing and playback of 2K (2048 x 1556) LOG RGB signals. The unit is compatible with uncompressed 10-bit data with1080 4:4:4 HD resolution and multiple streams of ProRes 422, uncompressed 8-bit data with 1080 resolution having various formats such as HD, DV, HDV and DVCPRO.

Providing RAID levels up to 10, the Fusion DX800RAID Expansion (8TB) offers high-quality data protection incase of drive failure. It can be configured to provide visual and audible alerts and e-mail notification in case of drive failure. You can assign a RAID group to hot spare drives and enable quick replacement of a failed hard-drive. An internal SAS (Serial Attached SCSI) expander enables you to connect multiple DX800 RAID enclosures in a daisy-chain without the need for an additional RAID controller card.

The SES (SCSI Enclosure Services) technology provides real-time monitoring and reporting of drive, power supply and temperature status and displays real-time results on utility application screens. In case of a fault on power supply or fan, the Fusion DX800RAID Storage System offers warning alarms sound. The S.M.A.R.T data criteria notifies you about a possible drive failure and enables you to minimize downtime.

The Sonnet PCI Express RAID controller, based on Intel IOP348 RAID processor running at 1.2 GHz, controls the throughput of all the drives. The drive is compatible with all video editing applications including Apple Final Cut Pro and Adobe Premiere Pro CS4. It supports Mac OS X, Windows Vista, Windows XP and Linux operating systems.
