Fewer water spots and better image
I use the Sony Action Cam to record sea kayak rolls and strokes/maneuvers. These videos help me to identify poor technique and keep bad habits from creeping in. Some of the time the bow & stern mounted cameras are under water. When the kayak rolls back up there are water droplets on the curved lens of waterproof housing usually right in the center, obscuring the image. This does not happen as often on the flat lens AKA-RD1 replacement door. The underwater images are also sharper with less distortion with the flat lens.
The big drawback is that these doors only fit on old style (SPK-AS1) cases and not on the current SPK-AS2 cases. SPK-AS1 cases are larger & thicker and go much deeper but lack the buttons on the side that allow making changes to recording options without removing the action cam, the camera can only be started or stopped in the SPK-AS1 case.
I made numerous attempts to attach a 7 second video but it would not attach.

A RED FILTER IS URGENTLY NEEDED
I have the Sony Action camera and most of its accessories and I am very happy with the results. I used it during very long motorcycling trips around Europe and Africa and scuba diving in the Caribbean. All my underwater videos are blue or bluish. They lack color. The deeper I film, the more blue they are. Sony needs to urgently offer a RED FILTER to get good colors in underwater videos. This is URGENT.

Needs improvement
I purchased these replacement doors to allow audio to be captured better. Unfortunately, even with the new door this camera case still struggles to capture good audio. One could argue that this is the nature of placing the camera in a waterproof case. However, when competitors cameras can successfully capture clear audio in a waterproof housing it shows that this set up isn't competitive for its audio ability's.

Great options!
I love this package. I used the underwater flat panel front door all the time on a 7 day cruise in the Caribbean and it got great images with no leaking at all. Love the camera, love this package.
When I originally ordered it, it showed as a 3-pack (I still have the receipt that shows 3) but when it came it only had two doors. The one that has vents for better audio and the one that has the flat lens for diving. I would have liked to get a spare "regular" front, but ahh well.
This shouldn't be a problem for anyone else since it now says 2-pack. I'm very impressed with both the doors and will order these again if i get another action cam.

Water filtration
I work recording underwatwer videos in a dive center. I worked with gorpo, aee, ikelite housings...
I dive 12 times with this camera, I always saw small water filtration, but yesterday the camera was completely wet (at only 40 feets).
If you want a underwatwer camera....It is not this
