I bought the Dev-50 a month ago and they really are excellent to use! The HD video quality is perfect, and even when zoomed in there is very little shaking on image. The stills are also great along with the sound quality. I only knocked 1 star as I had not noticed in small print that these Binoculars don't fit everyone. Unfortunately I am one of them so it is impossible to adjust to my eyes to get one solid image instead I get 2. I have adapted ok now but I was not best pleased at first but as I wanted them for recording and this work excellent I have been very happy with them.

Have been using the DEV50 for 9mths now and am amazed every time I use them. They are not the lightest binoculars around but they are certainly worth the little extra trouble to take them with you. The pictures taken (provided you find a resting place) are remarkable.

I received my recording binoculars at the beginning of January 2014 and immediately took them to the Dominican Republic for 70 days. This unit proved be be quite sensational and I had queries by people from many different countries, who had never before seen such a combination. Many wrote out complete details because they were astounded by the combination of features. Some will probably buy one...including professional video producers from Switzerland. and the United States. I hope to put up some videos on YouTube in June or July. It should be noted that a dual core or quad core computer will be needed to play back videos due to the large amount of information involved. And, Sony did not even provide a 1GB memory card with which to test the unit. It is good value for the money and I recommend it for its good capabilities.
