Very Authentic, True Sound

Better than Beats by Dre. The best part of the cans is the bass. It is true to the original sound and isn't overpowering. Extremely comfortable. I wear these editing video for hours or listening to my iPod for hours. Very loud, clear sound from the 40mm neodymium drivers. Timeless 80's retro look.

I LOVE these headphones. I purchased them because I work for a radio station in Atlanta. They're great. They block out noise well and the bass is amazing. They are perfect for in-studio recording or listening. Also, they're a great price! 5 stars from me!

These sound awesome

For the price, I can't find better sound. Everything is clean and clear.

Close to perfection !

from Montreal, Quebec  -  Experienced

These headphones have clear and clean sound. No artifact, no extra bas, just the original music that was recorded. I own electrostatic Stax headphones since many years and this is the best I've heard for a fraction of the price. Really worthed.

Nice headphones

from CA  -  Experienced

These headphones are durable and comfortable to use. Good bass and clarity. Can be used as monitor or leisure listening. Sony MDR-V6 is essentially the same & cheaper alternative. These pads can be replaced with the Beyerdynamic 250 pads. I feel these headphones are much more comfortable than the Sennheiser 280.

Great Headphones

from Kearny NJ  -  Experienced

I use this Product to Mix records with. Iam a Professional DJ with over 33 years of Experience in mixing cutting scratching and thease are the only Units since the Mdr V6 type that help in being able to tell what is on beat and on key in any mix.

Back for more, my 3rd pair!

from Springfield, MO  -  Experienced

This is my 3rd pair of these headphones. My first pair lasted 15 years, the second was permanently borrowed by my children & so I have my own for use in the studio for my radio show. In this business we have plenty of great options but hands down these Sony headphones produce a clean and clear sound.

Better Sound than Bose Quietcomfort 15

from Peoria, IL  -  Experienced

I originally bought these to be a supplimental headphone for occasional use at work. After getting them and making several careful comparisons to my Bose Quietcomfort 15 noise reduction headphones, I quickly came to the conclusion that the sound quality was better than the bose. But how could this be? In being as objective as I can, the sound quality was first obvious with percussion, whether drums or cymbals. The quick transient response allowed for more timbre to be clearly heard. I was also surprised that the bass response was actually better than the Bose. To be sure, the Bose have active noise cancellation, but if you are already listening in a quiet area, the accuracy and quality of the sound is somewhat better. I still use my Bose when I need to actively cancell loud external noise, but I now reach for my Sony MDR-7506 for casual and critical listening. The overall sound quality is reminescent of my high end Klipsch system. Having high efficiency allows for an accurate flat response. It also allows for the sharp transient impulse sounds being clearly heard. The sounds are more natural, in particular if listening to high quality recordings. I think my first observations when seeking to make side by side comparisons was with a good recording that included tympani (kettle drums). The MDR-7506 allowed for much of the subtle timbre to be more clearly heard than the Quietcomfort 15. It was also more obvious with recordings of acoustic instruments that had complex overtones, in particular with a wide frequency range. They just sounded more natural. This meant that you could hear subtle nuances that otherwise you would not have heard.

Great for entertainment as well!

from Stamford, CT  -  Novice

I bought these headphones for generic music listening and entertainment purposes. The initial pair I got were defective (lost sound out of one ear after 15 minutes), but Adorama replaced them without any question. The new pair I got works great and sounds beautiful. Way better sound than a lot of more expensive stuff.

A Great Pair of Headphones

a great pair to use when mixing records on the wheels of steel.
