Worth Tha Money
I just got these today. I have a BeatsPro Detox and I sold those to get these. I am amazed by the sound quality and the high-end materials. The isolation is very good and the bass is punchy like my Sony Xtra Bass earbuds. The one problem is that these are on ear headphones and I didn't get the point of that. Maybe that is to keep the headphones very comfortable (which they are). These are also good for listening to music for long time (in my case, 2-4 hours), whereas the BeatsPro hugs my head...View full Review

These are also good for listening to music for long time (in my case, 2-4 hours), whereas the BeatsPro hugs my head and begins to hurt after an hour. This is sort of like a $600 headphone instead of a $300 headphone. The case is hardshell and that is very good; I can't see why people complain about that.

best headphones , i think these headphones are in a match with beats.!!!
I bought these headphones as a casual pair, a pair that would be sturdy in build to be thrown into a backpack and carried around to various places without any harm coming to them. My main concern was would they be as durable as I thought they looked. And they are for the most part. The inner earcups are made of comfortable yet durable leather, and the outer earcups are made of a strong aluminum. The sides of the headband are very sturdy, but the top feels kind of flimsy, and I feel if I'm not careful with them it could snap at the top if sat on, or twisted the wrong way. Also, I found the headband to be uncomfortable to the point of a headache for listening sessions over an hour. The top of the headband, while feeling flimsy, is very comfortable, however it is the sides that pinch onto my head that gives me a headache. This might just be a result of having a fairly round head and since I keep my hair cut close to my head, I don't have any cushion in between. The earcups are very comfortable once put on. However, my ears were sore after more than an hour of listening. This might be the result of being used to over ear design, and while these do completely cover your ears, it is still an on ear set of headphones. As for sound quality, I found the bass strong in a good way, and not to over the top. The overall clarity of the headphones leave a little to be desired, but overall still pretty good. Bottom Line: Slightly uncomfortable, slightly lower sound clarity then I would have expected from the price tag, but still the most durable pair of headphones I have owned so far, some of the most ear-pleasing bass I've heard before, plus their folding ability is a great plus.
Perfect for anyone that is heavily into the dubstep or various electro-house genres of music. Is also really great for the mainstream tunes that pop up for a week or two. My only complaint about the sound would be the sacrificing of some of the highs in favor of bass. Otherwise the audio is freaking immaculate. As for the piece itself, there is not too much to complain about. The memory foam type ear buds are comfortable at first then over time they become even more comfy. Its amazing. And anyone would tell you that the earbuds do a more than efficient job at blocking out external noises. The only complaint to be made is the emphasized metal design without the use of any metal framework or plating. I understand that the plastic minimizes weight, but I don't think people would mind the extra weight if these bad boys were coated in a layer of carbon aluminum or steel. I personally think if they were to sell a model with a dark metal or white metal body with somewhat refined audio qaulity they would have no problem selling it at the 400-500 range. They could probably market it as the "Sony X Spec 0" or something like that.
I bought these headphones to listen to Dubstep music. I picked these because of the 50 mm drivers, 3,000 mW (3 watts) and the definitely DEEP low 3 hz frequency. You can't beat them. 5 stars all the way!
At last!, a pair of headphones that helps reproduce music properly and with good detail! I heard other noise canilng headphones while the music suffers on those types of headphones. Too much money gets spent on the noise caniling and too little on reproducing music properly with other brands. Boycot Bose! Boycot Beats! Boycott anything that "fudges" the specs! These Sony headphones are trully for music listening and one can forget the "buckyness" very easilly. The "bulkyness helps block the outside noise. I pluged these Sonys into my I phone 5 and was able to hear full spectum audio very easily. These work well, and can control my built in audio player on my I Phone 5 also! I then pluged them into a headphone out jack on a mixing board and needed no headphone equalization or extra headphone amplification to compensate for anything. I ran a bass frequency test with no added equalization from 3 to 100 HZ through that mixer and the bass is trully flat (uniform) souding in the music spectrum from about 16 HZ (the lowest "C" on an organ or keyboard; bottom of music spectrum and bottom of human hearing) to about 100HZ without raising the 20HZ control on my 31 band EQ. On the highs, I ran some high frequency tests also. I can hear to about 20KHZ (top of the music spectrum and top range of human hearing) easily too without raising the 20KHZ control on my 31 band EQ either. Midrange is good with good "imaging." Now my 31 band EQ can be used for other purposes such as to EQ the source material itself and not a combination of equalzing for both headphones and the souce material! Lets pay for sound acuracy and fidelity getting back to the basics and not the "name!" I can see why Simon says these are the way to go!
i love these headphones the look fell and sound are preety chill
This baby can outmatch Beat or Monster headphones. It is a truly masterpiece in headphone market. Beautiful sound quality. The design can be much better, two colors for this bad boy is too little.
These headphones does a great job of balancing out base as well as sound quality. the wired never gets tangled nor breaks, you won't have to worry about anyone hearing your music because of the great noise cancellations they have...overall great product, and great buy.!
This is one of the best headphone I have, good quality and design, excellent.
I have had the MDR-10 headphones since Oct. 2012 and I have been blown away on the sound quality of these babies. The comfort allows you to wear the headphones as long as you want and the seal that they provide as well as blocking out the outside noise is insane. I ride the train and going though the tunnels I only hear my music with using no batteries.
