Great Pictures, a Few Challenges

I really like the picture quality that I'm getting with this camera, and I appreciate how close I can get to the subject and stay focused. However, I ran into a couple of problems. I really like the picture quality that I'm getting with this camera, and I appreciate how close I can get to the subject and stay focused. However, I ran into a couple of problems. The way that the USB pops open, I am not able to insert the Bloggie into my Dell computer's USB ports. I tried a USB extension and the computer would not recognize the camera. So I had to download video to my MacBook Pro and then transfer to my desktop system to try to edit video. Windows Live did not work for editing--an error message kept popping up. Maybe because I had shot in wide format? Next I tried editing with Adobe Premiere Elements (newest version), but the video became jerky. I finally had to edit with iMovie on my little MacBook Pro laptop (small screen to work on). Kind of a bummer that I can't use my desktop to edit. For those of you who were concerned about Mac compatibility, skip the proprietary software dpwnload and just use iMovie. It works fine.

Sony Decieves Once Again.

1) Sony lies about 12.8 Megapixel - You can take a 4:3 picture 12.8 MP but if put on the better settings like 16:9, 8MP. DO NOT BUY! 2) Sony lies about 4 hour 1080p recording. -You can record at 720p for 2-4 hours. You can only record 1:22 minutes for 1080 HD. Oh and it is not 1080 60P but 30P DO NOT BUY! 3) I bought this and it is supposed to come with the $20 PSN gift card. (2 days after received and still awaiting it). DO NOT BUY!!!

miracle camera

The size and weight of the camera permits it to be carried in one's pocket with little to no damage possible as it has only 2 buttons.

Good product for limited usage

I use the video camera for my daughter's piano lessons. The sound and the picture quality is good.

Great Stylish Camera

from Undisclosed

Great camera if you want a simple, quick and easy to use camera for shooting and uploading. Auto-focus sometimes gets slow. I would give it a million stars if it had flash and better auto-focus. The case for it looks like a jewelry box! It has a very elegant look and is attractive. It works perfect for me because I don't use it in the dark, so I don't really miss the flash. Personally, I'd give it 5 stars.

Great little camera for the money

from Hayward, CA  -  Semi-Pro Photographer

This is a great little camera for price. I have a more expensive HD camera that I use for my semi-pro shots but often times when I am out and about in casual situations I have wished for a simple point and shoot HD camera to capture those special moments with my family and friends. Well the Bloggie Touch fits that purpose perfectly and at this ridiculously low price you just can't go wrong It does not do well in low light situations. The picture is somewhat grainy but usable and the focus is not very fast but I am willing to live with those cons for the price and convenience.

Very handy and satisfied

Just Ok

from elmhurst, NY

I keep using it but is kind of a nightmare if you are going to record yourself...not every tripod fits. No flash and figuring out on how to charge it is a major pain....doesnt has any other way to charge, just plugging it to the PC. I love the size and that is not heavy, i can take pictures...but doesnt have a you are limited.

No flash! Really???????

from Parkville, MO  -  Casual Photographer

My first use with this camera was at a wedding. At dinner the night prior, I made some shots indoors and realized there was no flash. You could hardly see the pictures. Made pictures and videos at the outdoor event at 5:30 pm with great lighting and the outcome was wonderful. Made some video indoors at the reception and you would have thought I made them in black/white. Very dissapointed as I probably would want to use this indoors more often than out.

Questions about this item:

Shopper  does it have a flash?
GEORGE A  Unfortunately Windows Movie Maker does not support HD, nor mpeg-4 video formats both of which are native features in the Bloggie Touch. The workaround would require way too much effort so your best bet would be to move up to a more capable video editor. There are many choices out there like the "Magix Movie Edit Pro" family of editors which all sell below $100. There are also other choices on the Adorama website. Whatever you choose must be capable of importing HD mpeg-4 formats. Hope this helps
