About Sony VPLFX500L
The Sony VPLFX500L XGA Installation Projector is a powerhouse of a projector with 70000 lumens of brightness and a 2500:1 contrast ratio. Thanks to its 0.99" (25mm) 3LCD BrightEra Projection Panels it creates vivid lifelike images in fine detail. 3LCD technology delivers sharper and brighter images with superior grayscale detail. But Sony has improved it with its BrightEra technology, which offers even higher brightness with improved reliability, increased contrast and reduced flicker.
Of course the VPLFX500L has the features you've come to expect from a high-quality installation projector. It can display 720p, 1080i and 1080p high definition images and its international capabilities include being able to automatically select and project NTSC, NTSC 4.43, PAL, PAL-M, PAL-N, PAL-60 and SECAM signals. It also has a world-ready 100 to 240 volt AC 50/60 Hz power supply.
You can control the focus, zoom and (both vertical and horizontal) picture shift from the projector or right from the remote control. With its RJ-45 jack you can attach the VPLFX500L to your LAN and perform all of the usual operations like manage and control one or more projectors from a single PC and set up the projector to email you when it discovers a fault or, for instance, the lamp is nearing the end of its useful life.
But with the VPLFX500L and a LAN connection you can do more. You can actually present from any computer on the network. If you manually register your PC's IP address with the projector, you can project from anywhere on the Internet. That's great for teleconferencing and distance learning applications.
