This cove is attractive and, for the most part, well made. The magnetic shut-off works well as does the easel-like stand function. After a few months of use, the stitched perimeter is intact and the overall appearance shows no wear. That's the good news. The 'bad news' is to do with the small tab that locks the cover closed and holds it in the easel position. It's an extension the cover but without the stitching and contains a small bar of metal. The tab on my cover came apart and I had to repair it with crazy glue, if the metal bar had been lost, a large part of the function would have been lost. This weak spot is why I give it only three stars.

Although the design of the stand on this case isn't my favorite, it is extremely well constructed and has a great feel to it. I am sure it will last for the rest of the time that I own this iPad.

I am now on my second Magfolio Lounge case. The first was replace within the 1 year warranty period. The very weak magnet that was supplied fell out of the tab that holds it. Now my second case has the same exact problem but its past the 1 year point. Now I'm stuck with a $50 case that won't shut or stand. Speck should sew the magnet into the case instead of glue it but I'm sure that would hurt their margins so they won't. Bummer could be a great case.

1. It claims that it will shut off the iPad upon closing, but it doesn't always do that. I can't tell you how many times I've closed it, thinking it went to sleep, opened it later and my battery was dead. 2. When trying to use the cover as a stand, it's very flimsy, rubbery and awkward. 3. The cover is starting to peel. If this case was $20 I'd say it's a great deal. But I would highly recommend ponying up an extra $10 or $20 to get one of the better cases. It's worth it.

I've bought at least 4 Speck cases in the past -- for iPhone, MacBook Pro, Air, and IMHO they are the best cases on the market. I love them. However, the MagFolio Lounge for iPad sucks. It is not nearly up to the standards I've come to expect from Speck. The soft material is cheap feeling -- I thought it would be harder and more like polyurethane -- it feels more like bad vinyl. The top of the case doesn't close squarely over the top and leans slightly down and to the right. The mag clip is flimsy and doesn't close all the way. Worst of all, the lounge part doesn't stay up easily and is a pain to get into position. I'm sending this one back and getting an Apple iPad case.

I bought this cover thiking it would look great on my Ipad and had reasonable good reviews. It's been four months, I take good care of it, but now the corners are unraveling around the edges and the magnets in the cover are constantly turning on and off the screen even when in use. The magnet wont hold itself in the back creating a problem when you need to use the viewing angle, the typing angle works fine but the magnets wont hold on the weight for the viewing angle. They need to fix this problem or lower the price for this cover.

The magnet is not strong enough to hold the case. Also it is starting to fall apart after less than four month of owning it. Speck got this one wrong.

The lounge shape is a great idea. It's very comfortable and convenient for anywhere you use the iPad without a flat surface: bus, couch, bed. It needs a stronger magnet or more secure attachment for when its folded into the lounge positions. The upright position absolutely will NOT stay period. The lounge position collapses about 50% of the time, more if its on a hard flat surface. The lounge angle is perfect though. This would be the best folio out there IF the magnet held it in position. That is the only thing that would make the full price worth it. Please fix the weak magnet and offer more colors.

This is my first iPad case, but I love the way it feels and stays up when I want it to stand. It is easy to hold onto. I also have a Speck cover for my iPhone. It is perfect. Not to thick and very durable.

I've been using this product daily for a month. I love the slim, sleek design and the way it feels in my hands (lap). The leather cover seems nearly sratch resistant. It's really like velvet. The downfall is the design of the magnet that allows you to stand it in an angle upright. This is a failed design in my opinion because at times it falls in either position. I thought maybe I was doing something wrong and when I read the website I was infact doing the right steps. I am careful not to leave it on the table in this upright position. Obviously this is really a lap case and even then it's not practical (for me). I am sourcing the best case for my iPad. This is my first iPad and case from Speck.

I tested and returned a ton of cases before I fell in love and kept the MagFolio Lounge. As a student it is perfect for lap and desk use in the classroom. Both viewing angles are just right. I haven't had any problem with the magnets and the on/off function works great. Would definitely recomended this case to anyone. This is a very sturdy, protective and great all around case.

The idea is great but the execution could be better. The magnet is not strong enough to support the case when it's folded over in the lounge position causing it to collapse. This needs to be improved.

I've never owned an iPad before, just got the new iPad (3). I've always loved Speck's cases. Though trying to find a great case for this iPad was not easy. I opened almost all the cases available at Target and Best Buy, all brands available, it was tough deciding. The Mag case was actually the last one I opened; I read the features and bought it. I wasn't really sure at first if it was going to be a good one so I held onto the receipt. It's been a few weeks now and I really love it -- how slim it it, magnetic cover, and how my iPad sits in the two positions. There's only two slight drawbacks. One the magnet is pretty strong, but sometimes collapses when the iPad is in the tall position (not lap position). The second one I'm sure will be resolved soon --- I wished there were other colors available, black is fine, but other color choices would've been nice. Overall, it's a very nice looking and functional case. Definitely a keeper!

been waiting for this case to be released since they announced the 'new iPad' the wait was worth it, fits perfectly and looks amazing. i would not buy any other case for any of my apple products since purchasing a couple of spec iPhone cases over the years and comparing them to others. Speck products look cool, made well and do the job. only gripe is that as a UK buyer if you want to buy new products you have pay a lot in postage and duty.

I really love how sleek this case is. I was trying out a ton of different cases, and this one worked great for me. At first i thought I wanted one of the flip over style like the smartcover is, but I really like this one better. Plus the magnet use for closing and flip back stand is awesome. So convenient and professional looking. I think it's about $10 too high in price for what it is but I liked it a lot better than others so I had to go with it and i'd buy another if I had to!

Speck's Magfolio Lounge is such a fun and unique product. The product has a magnet in the chassis that allows the cover to flip back and stand on its own. The contour of the cover is perfect for resting on your lap and ""loungin'"" around with your iPad. The chassis is solid and fits the iPad well. This is a great product.
